Museum of Forgotten Warriors
At the age of ten, Dann Spear, founder of the Museum of the Forgotten Warriors, started collecting military memorabilia, patches and photos from his friends to whom he wrote while they served in the Viet Nam War. 1981, after displaying portions of his collection throughout Northern California, Dann and his good friend, John Showers, began work on what was to be the first museum building. The official opening was in January 1985, with Brigadier General Don Matson in attendance as the guest speaker. The over 46,000 artifacts in it have continued to grow.

Fairytale Town: Jack & The Beanstalk
Franco Joseph Bilotta was born on November 13, 1991, and on April 5, 1994, passed away after never regaining consciousness after falling in his grandparent's pool. When he passed Franco's parents did something they never thought they'd do, contacted the Sierra Donor Services and donated both of his corneas and his heart valves. Franco's uncle and godfather approached his parents with keeping his memory and started an account as a way to memorialize Franco. Fairy Tale Town was suggested and in May of 1997, the Jack and the Beanstalk structure was completed in Franco's honor. And now, almost 20 years later, Fairy Tale Town was able to renovate the structure and are hosting a re-dedication this morning with Franco's mom LeAna doing the ribbon cutting.
