Local Teacher On Team USA
From Hiram Johnson, to UC Berkeley, to CSU Sacramento, Sacramento's own legendary superstar Stacey Noble is the epitome of the motto "Those who teach, can." Known as "The Teaching Songbird," the former Miss Black Sacramento Mrs. Noble is on her way to Lyon, France to compete in the Track and Field Masters World Championships as a member of Team USA August 4th through the 16th. An Elk Grove 6th grade school teacher, it's no surprise that she will go for the gold in the multi-event heptathlon (seven events), the open 80-meter hurdles, and her specialty, the open long jump.
