Arson Suspected In South Sacramento House Fire

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are calling a fire that burned overnight on the roof of a south Sacramento home suspicious.

Firefighters were called out to a home on Herbosa Vista Court at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, where they found the roof of a home in flames.

Neighbors reported seeing a Black BMW with its lights off and heard screeching tires at around the time of the fire.

Later on, two people were dropped off at UC Davis Medical Center with burn injuries, and may have played a part in starting the fire, say police. No other fires that occurred overnight could have caused burns.

A portion of the roof is destroyed.

Neighbors say they heard explosions, which could have been paint cans popping.
