The Fair Oaks Theater Festival presents this hilarious, Tony Award-winning show that lampoons romantic musicals from the 1920s. When a grumpy man listens to the soundtrack of an old musical, his drab apartment is suddenly transformed when the characters come to life around him. His running commentary is part of the fun as gangsters, tycoons, Latin lovers and a beautiful Broadway star sing and dance their way through this rollicking tale. The Royal Canadian Air Force Jet Demonstration Team headlines the event, which also includes aerial acrobatics, skydiving, the Red Bull Air Force Team, a jet car race, war-gaming displays, wing walkers and live entertainment. From barnstorming biplanes to military choppers, jets and fire-fighting aircraft, there truly is something for everyone. Get fired up with the award-winning Zydeco Flames as it bring its hot Cajun, rhythm and blues licks to the McConnell Estates Winery. The group has played in concert with the likes of Harry Connick, Jr., performed for a standing U.S. president and has had five of its numbers included in "The Sims Unleashed" computer game. The outdoor concert includes complimentary wine tasting and food will be available from a Sacramento food truck.
