Injured Hiker Rescued At Edwards Crossing In Nevada County

NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) -- A hiker was injured at Edwards Crossing early Friday. Luckily crews were able to rescue them due to OES call boxes installed in the area, said Nevada County Consolidated FD.

According to responding units, these call boxes significantly reduce response time allowing crews to perform rescues at a much quicker pace.

The extent of the hiker's injuries were not mentioned.
