Garbage Truck Catches Fire In West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A garbage truck fire was knocked down Wednesday, said the West Sacramento Fire Department.

The West Sacramento Fire Department responded to a garbage truck fire near Harbor Boulevard at Evergreen Avenue.

The fire department arrived to find "plumes of smoke billowing from the trash container."

Crews were able to safely extinguish the fire without any injuries to the driver or other motorists. Minimal damage was done to the garbage truck.
