MODESTO (CBS13) – The investigation into a fatal stabbing in Modesto is still underway in Modesto, say police.

According to the Modesto Police Department, on July 31, officers were dispatched at around 2:30 a.m. to Crocker Lane in the southwest area of the city. There was a gathering at the address and one person was found stabbed, police said. He died later at the hospital.

A suspect in the stabbing was detained. This is believed to be an isolated incident.

The victim was later identified on August 2 as 27-year-old Kameryn Morris of Modesto.
