Injured Red Tail Hawk Brought To Firefighting Station

Some firefighters in the foothills got an unexpected guest over the weekend.

An injured red tail hawk was brought to the Cal Fire Valley Springs Station. Firefighters called around to animal rescue groups and, with the help of a Calfornia Fish and Wildlife Warden, were able to place the bird with an animal rescue provider.

The bird was dubbed Smokey.
