Ham Radio Swap Meet
This morning the Sierra Foothills Amateur Radio Club is hosting their 2nd Annual Ham Radio swap meet at the Loomis Train Depot in downtown Loomis. A Hamfest is a flea market where vendors sell amateur radios and trade them! People are so into these types of sales and they line up starting at 6 am! The Bok Kai Parade
The Bok Kai Parade is celebrating its 136th year. It's become an international event -- drawing thousands of visitors from the local community, as well as San Francisco, Seattle, Oregon and even Hong Kong. The parade honors the water god Bok Eye and features community organizations, schools, businesses, traditional Chinese lion dancers, lots of fire crackers, and the famous 175-foot- long golden dragon named "Hong Wan Lung" that was "brought to life" in 2009. Good Day's Nha Nguyen is live with a look at the oldest continuously held parade in the state.
