Employee Traps Alleged Murderer Inside Tea House

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California tea house employee locked a murder suspect inside the business and called the police.

The woman reporting to work in Garden Grove saw a stranger inside gesturing at her to come in.

The Orange County Register reports Saturday that instead, the woman locked the door from the outside. Police found a 24-year-old member of the cleaning crew dead inside of stab wounds.

Twenty-year-old Robert Gabriel Rodgers of Anaheim was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He is being held on $1 million in bail.

It wasn't immediately clear if Rodgers had an attorney.

The victim was identified as Ceaser Ramirez-Rafael of Garden Grove.

Ramirez-Rafael regularly cleaned the tea house before it opened.

Police are trying to determine if the victim and suspect knew each other.
