Search Engines Making Us Forget Key Dates?

Could "Googling" historical dates keep you from being able to remember when they happened?

A study out of Great Britain revealed that 87 percent of the 2,000 adults who took part in the study relied heavily on the Internet for facts and made less of an effort to remember dates on their own, according to newspaper, The Daily Express. Nearly half of the people in the study could not name the year Princess Diana Died and only four out of 10 could name the year 9/11 happened.

"Certain dates are impressed upon us a lot at school and tend to stick but clearly the art for remembering dates fades and it seems we are now retaining less," a study spokesman told the paper.
