Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Highway After Catching Fire
BUTTE COUNTY (CBS13) - A plane has made an emergency landing on a highway in Butte County.
The pilot of a Piper PA-28 Cherokee landed the plane safely on Highway 70 at Cherokee Road just north of Oroville Wednesday after the engine caught fire.
According to the FAA, the pilot was the only one aboard the plane at the time, and was not injured.
The plane has tail number N9544J and comes up in the FAA registry as deregistered.
