If you are a fan of music, it will be easy to appreciate the diverse list of artists gracing our local stages. From classical to pop culture, there is something coming to town which is sure to peak your interest. Following is a list of just some of the talent you can catch at a live concert in 2013.

Taylor will be doing 58 shows in 45 cities and Ed Sheeran will be appearing with her in all of the shows on the tour. This is one of the most highly anticipated events of 2013. During the course of every show, Taylor plays a variety of instruments. To date, Taylor has “sold over 20 million albums worldwide and is the fifth most successful digital artist in music history.” Sacramento will be welcoming this show with open arms. Taylor’s appearance at Sleep Train is scheduled for August 27, 2013.

She has a “vocal range of over three octaves.” Her first concert tour was A Timeless Evening With Sarah Brightman and brought much success. The Dreamchaser Tour will begin with dates in North America. Sarah is known for working with artists like Andrea Bocelli. Harlow’s is a venue that has become known for its shows over recent years. Pinback is a San Diego indie rock band which has seen much success since forming in 1998. The band’s current discography consists of six albums and one compilation. This is a much anticipated show at Harlow’s for Sacramento residents as Pinback has a large local fan base. The simple fact is if you are a fan of indie rock, this show is a must see. You can catch the show on January 20, 2013 at Harlow’s starting at at 9 p.m.

If classical music is your thing, then this is your show. Andre Rieu is a conductor, composer and violinist known worldwide. On March 15, 2013, Andre will grace the stage at Sleep Train Arena for one night of magical music. Known as the “Waltz King,” Rieu performs with the talents of the Johann Strauss Orchestra. The orchestra performs with anywhere from 80 to 150 musicians making for a powerful stage presence. For lovers of this genre of music, this is a highly recommended show.

The Fab Four is a Beatles tribute band. This band is absolutely amazing and puts on a tremendous show. If you close your eyes and listen, you could easily think you’re hearing a performance from the original Beatles band. The band not only sounds like the Beatles but looks, acts and dresses like them as well. The Fab Four will be performing at the historical Crest Theater on K Street downtown. You can catch this show on February 15, 2013, perfect timing for a Valentine’s Day outing.
