Kristin Marshall joins CBS 13/Good Day Sacramento after spending four years at KCRA 3, as the morning Traffic Anchor and features reporter. Prior to making the cross-country jaunt to Northern California, she worked as the Traffic Reporter and Producer for ABC’s WPVI in Philadelphia.
Kristin was born in Wheaton, Illinois, but spent most of her life in Ellicott City, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore. She graduated from Mt. Hebron High School and followed her interests in broadcasting to Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York, on an athletic scholarship. There, she earned All-American honors and was selected as Coca Cola’s MVP her senior year. After receiving her degree in Broadcast Journalism from the accredited university, Kristin returned to Baltimore, where she began working behind the scenes at WBAL-TV. Two years later, she made the jump to Metro Networks, where she reported news, traffic, weather and sports for several Baltimore, Washington, D.C. And Delmarva radio stations. She was also the backup Traffic Reporter for FOX 45-TV in Baltimore.
In addition to her full-time commitments, Kristin also worked as the arena host during the NHL’s Washington Capitals ice hockey games and juggled sideline reporting duties for the Northeast Conference Network, which aired on FOX Sports NY and MASN-TV.
Kristin loves all things lacrosse, Sudoku puzzles, her 100-pound chocolate lab, snowboarding and her husband.
