Ovarian Cancer Benefit
You have the chance to paint something beautiful and help out a great cause. Ms. California is hosting this event after her grandma passed away from ovarian cancer. Cambi's grammy also had ovarian cancer but luckily survived. Unlike other cancers, there is no diagnostic test, so often times people find out when the cancer has progressed too much.

A DCHS student, Tristen, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. During his treatment, he was supported by KRM's Family Navigator program, but ultimately passed away at 15 years old in 2009. About a year after his passing, another student, Adriana, who was very close to Tristen, began a partnership with KRM. For the past 6 years, Del Campo students and their professor, Jay Lottes, have donated hundreds of wrapped presents to KRM's annual Holly Jolly holiday party (held Wednesday, December 7th) to the children battling cancer and their families.
