Ruck for 22
The march is on!   The local non-profit "Ruck Dor 22" organized a march from Sacramento to San Francisco to raise awareness for the suicide rate among veterans.  The march kicks off today at the state capitol!

Veterans Club
This morning we're meeting the members of the Heritage Park Veterans Club! These 30 members are men who all live in the Heritage Park community in North Natomas and have served in wars including World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Korean War. The club gets together on the first Thursday of every month. One of their members, James Rhymes served in all three of those wars and another member Boyd Taylor was awarded the medal of honor by George W. Bush! The Heritage Park Veterans Club also has one member who is the last living Buffalo Soldier!

A Night at the Opera
Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera is bringing opera back into the concert hall with "A Night at the Opera" with guest artists Leslie Ann Bradley, soprano, and Adam Luther, tenor, who will perform some of opera's favorite hits accompanied by the entire orchestra on stage at the community center theater. The orchestra will also perform composer, Ottorino Respighi's most famous orchestral work, "The Pines of Rome."

Placer Art Studios Tour
The tour runs November 11-13, spanning 77 artists in 40 locations. Artists will be demonstrating, and showing their art in their studios from 10am-5pm each day. Baseball Gear Donated
Steve Abrams is a Cordova High School grad who is making it his life's mission to provide children in different countries proper baseball equipment to play the game. He goes to local high schools and gets their old gear and then flies to places like Philippines, Ukraine, Mexico, Romania, Nigeria and South America. Ken will go to the storage shed to see what he has collected for his next trip and local baseball coaches will be dropping by to donate more gear for this year's trip.
