Police: Man robs New York City bank in ball gown, heels

NEW YORK (AP) — Investigators are searching for a man who they say robbed a New York City bank while wearing a ball gown.

WCBS-TV reports (http://cbsloc.al/2ad0zRy ) the man robbed a Santander Bank on Staten Island on Tuesday while wearing a silver and black dress with heels, a hat and sunglasses. Investigators say he also had a silver handgun.

Video from a nearby store shows the victim ditching the dress and fleeing the scene in shorts, Nike Jordan sneakers and no shirt.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
