This morning one local man is showing us how to re-think our yards! 88-year-old Sacramento resident Richard Commins was selected to appear in the Regional Water Authority's "Rethink Your Yard" summer billboard campaign, which encourages people to replace thirsty lawn with beautiful, low-water landscapes.

Land Park Yard Sale
This morning Land Park is hosting their first ever yard sale! Several homes are paying $10 to participate in the yard sale with some of the funds going straight to the Sacramento Food Bank. More than 100 homes will be participating and it is expected to be the largest community yard sale Sacramento has ever seen!!

Superhero Day
The Roseville Barnes and Noble is celebrating DC Comics Superheroes and the real heroes in our community this weekend. Staffers are teaming up with the Roseville Police Activities League for their "Get Pop Cultured DC Comics Superhero Day." Fundraiser for RPAL runs all weekend, Friday, July 22nd to Sunday, July 24th. Events taking place at the Roseville location on Saturday 7/23, in the afternoon, with a costume contest at 7pm.
