The beloved musical "Hairspray" has come to Rocklin Community Theater! Kentucky Derby Drinks
Today marks the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby. Besides big hats, you're going to want some bourbon! Today BevMO representative Paco Saldana is giving Cambi a little bourbon 101, as well as a recipe for the quintessential Mint Julep perfect for anyone wanting to celebrate the Kentucky Derby in style!!
Mint Julep
Ingredients:
2 ounces Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey
1-2 teaspoons sugar (to taste)
1 sprig fresh mint
1.5 cups crushed ice
Mint garnish
Directions:
In a shaker or measuring pitcher, combine the bourbon, sugar, and mint. Muddle the mint for a few seconds, or minutes if you'd like a strong mint flavor. While waiting, scoop the crushed ice into the cup so that it piles up, then shape it into a mound with your hand. Strain the bourbon mixture over the ice, garnish with a mint sprig, and serve.

Home Makeover
Today one local family and some faithful volunteers are coming together to support one widowed mother and her children. The Solano family a team of volunteers is working on the home of Laura Davis. Volunteers will not only be helping this widow, but they will also be raising funds to offset the cost for the Solano family who are adopting their 3rd and 4th children who have down syndrome with the help of Both Hands. Both Hands helps families fundraise for their adoptions.
