Mammogram or Not?
A recent study found that more than half of women surveyed who have not had a mammogram, admitted they do not plan to have a mammogram in the near future. The results are disturbing, given an estimated 230,000 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed in 2016. The study of women over 40, commissioned by Dignity Health, confirms that misconceptions about mammograms continue to influence a woman’s decision to schedule an appointment for a breast cancer screening.

Free Comic Book Day
We have been visiting The Launchpad for the past few years. It’s one of our favorite comic book and game locations. However, there is a familiar face that is now missing. David Phillips, co-owner of the launch pad, was one of the men who lost his life in a fatal car accident last week in Lodi. Family, friends and customers are remembering Dave this Saturday in what they say is the only way he would have had it, with a 24-hour game-a-thon and with free comic books. Heather is at the launch pad this morning as they prepare for Saturday’s festivities.
