The Kennedy Pageant Productions is having their 20th annual Miss Placer County California pageant on June 18th and tt is open to girls and women ages 3 and up! The girls volunteer in the community throughout the year. Each queen selects a platform that is important to them and will work towards raising funds or helping out that charity during their reign. Kennedy Pageant Productions has been producing pageants in the area for 20 years and is committed to creating queens who are role models to our community. This morning former Miss Placer Counties as well as Kennedy Pageant Productions very own Nicole Mutka join us in the studio to tell us how your little girl can possibly become a Placer County queen!

Placer Earth Week Celebration
It’s Earth Week and the Placer Land Trust is kicking things off with a big celebration out at the Doty Ravine Preserve. The non-profit protects more than 8,000 acres of land in 34 locations across Placer County and today, area kids are out early to do their part in that effort.

Run4 Roseville
This morning Nha is checking out the Run4 Roseville where they are expecting nearly 1,500 runners! The Roseville City School District Foundation will present the school district with a “check” for $90,000 towards their music education program! The run also includes a fun “Principal Dash,” where principals from different schools will be competing against each other!

VIP Games
This morning Nha is at the VIP (Very inspirational people) track and field games for disabled people. VIP stands for Very Inspirational People, which is an all-volunteer Non-Profit Organization started in 2002 by coaches, parents, and volunteers to provide additional opportunities for special needs athletes. This year’s games take place at Luther Burbank High School!

Dining Out For Life
Get your grub on while helping a good cause this week. Dining Out for Life is happening on Thursday. How does it work? The event takes place in various restaurants throughout Sacramento County. When you eat at participating locations, 33% of their profits will be donated to support programs for HIV-positive youth in Sacramento.
