Last month Footnotes Dance studio won at USA Nationals in L.A. Winning means they will be representing California In Florida and they Leave on the red-eye tonight! They will compete in Florida at the “Worlds Competition” against the UK, Japan, Australia, Mexico, and Spain. The girls have been working so hard and are excited this morning to show us some of their moves!

This week preschoolers at The Goddard School located in Folsom, along with over 430 other Goddard School locations nationwide, will take part in the 6th annual Root for Earth event!!  While the children learn about eco-friendly topics throughout the entire year, this week especially will celebrate Earth Day and The Goddard School’s commitment to saving Mother Earth!!

90-Year-Old Barber
It’s a very special birthday today! A local barber in Stockton is turning 90 years old! He has been barbering for over 65 years and is also an army veteran. We’re catching up with Frank Chavez this morning at Cal-Pine Barber shop and finding out why he has been in the business for so long and some of his favorite stories from the past 65 years! (Heather also has a surprise cake for him)

As you prepare, bite, chew, and digest, you create a series of mechanical and chemical changes that affect a food’s nutritional content (i.e. the nutrients it contains) and each nutrient’s “bioavailability” (i.e. the degree to which it can be absorbed by your body).
