Can you sprint like a lion? Today runners will be taking to the streets of Sacramento dressed in animal costumes! The 35th Annual ZooZoom is a 5k and 10k run that is fun for the whole family! Runners are encouraged to dress as their favorite zoo animals for the race!
Proceeds from the 2015 ZooZoom will go towards animal care and enrichment in order to keep their minds and skills sharp a variety of enrichments need to be made daily.
Today Cambi is at William Land Park as the race gets ready to kick off!

Lacquered Nail Salon
Today Cambi is at Lacquered Nail Salon who is celebrating their 2 year anniversary! To celebrate their big day, they are donating proceeds to St. Johns Program (Sharing Beauty with women in need). They are asking people to come in and support St. John's Program by bringing a donation of any beauty/hygiene item or $5.00 towards manicure set put together by Lacquered.
The event is from 1-4pm and includes free polish changes, refreshments, music, face painting, raffle, and more! Cambi is at Lacquered Nail Salon checking out this awesome anniversary fundraiser!

California Automobile Museum
Today the California Automobile Museum is giving a car some professsional detailing! But it's not just any car, it's a 1985 Ferrari 308 that is on display this weekend only! People can come in and learn what it takes to detail a high-end car.
Detail Maniac will be the professionals working on the Ferrari, and will be providing a Two Stage Polish. This "sets the standard of true detailing by perfecting the paint's appearance with a mirror-like finish and optimal shine. Most vehicles achieve a removal rating between 80-90% of swirl, haze and light defects."
Today Cambi is learning about the different types of equipment and logistics of what goes into detailing such a high-end car!

Thrive at Get Fit Davis
Today Lori is checking out a workout program that officially starts tomorrow for all the busy moms out there who find it hard to hit the gym. Thrive is a new women's program at Get Fit Davis that lasts 8-weeks and centers around fitness, food and well-being. The program was founded and run by Amy Spence, who is a mom of 3 kids under 6.
Amy says the program is a body program for women, who can come to one class and walk away with workouts to do at home, nutrition plans, and learn about mental health, and spiritual well being.

The Wizard of Oz
Today one drama club teacher is retiring after 35 years of teaching! John Deaderick has been teaching at Colfax High for the last 14 years and been teaching for over 35 years total! John started the drama club at Colfax High with less than $20 in the budget and turned it into a full blown program!
The drama club's final show that John is currently directing is the Wizard of Oz, their most ambitious play yet. It's also the grand finale for veteran actor, director, and educator, John Deaderick, who retires this year.
He leaves behind a legacy of building one of the most successful high school arts programs and one of the best-equipped theaters in Northern California.
Today we're meeting John Deaderick and finding out more about his amazing career and where he's going next!

A Clarksburg school is helping kids shake off the nerves of a big test with a fun Taylor Swift re-create video! Delta Elementary Charter School took their own spin on "Shake It Off" to get kids pumped up for the Smarter Balance state test.
