Woman Who Gets Garth's Guitar Talks To Good Day

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) - A Sacramento woman says it's been her 30-year dream to see Garth Brooks in concert. Over the weekend, her dream came true, but, little did she know the homemade sign that almost got her kicked out of the concert would help her receive the prize of a lifetime.

"He pointed and laughed and smiled," said Jaimee Lee, who got Garth Brooks' guitar.

Diehard Garth Brooks fan Jaimee Lee thought she'd never get to see Garth Brooks in person. But on Sunday night, she got her chance. To make the Sunday show special, Jaimee made a Styrofoam sign that looks like a guitar and said "Garth want to swap?"

She made another sign as well. They were so big that they blocked the view of fans behind her and almost got her and her friends kicked out of the show.

"They kept complaining they couldn't see the screen," said Jaimee.

So Jaimee and her friends played musical chairs with some nearby empty floor seats. Eventually Garth saw the sign, and it struck a chord.

"As he says where's that guitar in the crowd? I grabbed her and threw her up there," said her friend.

Jaimee Lee With Garth's GuitarJaimee and Garth then swapped guitars and he gave her his pick and his capo. They talked briefly and they shook hands.

"I was in disbelief, shock. You see my face -- unbelievable," said Jaimee.

After the exchange, Garth's guitar tech brought her backstage to give her the guitar's case too.

"He said every guitar needs a case," she said.

The tech also said this particular guitar had been played by Garth in more concerts on this tour than any other of his guitars. The guitar's pick wear and buckle scratches back up his story.

While Jaimee continues to comb through every inch of the icon's gift, she and her friends still laugh knowing her DIY sign is being held together with this tape that shows pigs flying.

"That night they did," said Jaimee.
