It's a brand new food truck that is bringing a taste of Hawaii right here to Sacramento! Ben's Huli Huli Chicken is a food truck that serves Hawaiian huli huli chicken. Owner Kit J. Syn named the truck after his son Benjamin and used to own a restaurant in Maui. Since it's debut 3 weeks ago Kit says he opens his truck around 11am on weekends and he's often sold out of chicken by 3pm! Today Tina is meeting Kit and finding out more about this new food truck that is gaining so much attention in our area!

Bingo and Bakers for Babies, a March of Dimes fundraiser
Today residents of Mistywood, a local independent senior living community in Roseville, are hosting Bingo and Bakers for Babies in support March of Dimes. For only $10 per person and $1 per bingo card, participants can enjoy a baked potato bar and other snacks while playing bingo with residents for various prizes. All proceeds from the event will go to March of Dimes, which helps moms have full-term pregnancies and researches the problems that threaten the health of babies. This morning Alexis is there meeting some of the residents and finding out more about Bingo and Bakers for Babies!

The Art Box Grand Opening

Denio's Dog Day of Fun
Today Denio's is hosting a huge day of Dachshund dog races, corn dog eating contests and costume parades! Denio's Dog Day of Fun has expanded to include a wiener dog portion -dachshund dog races and a wanna be a wiener dog costume parade. All dog event proceeds benefit the Placer SPCA, which will also be onsite with their mobile pet adoption center. Pop-Up Taco Stand
It only happens once a year at Whole Foods! The Pop-Up Taco Stand is back with delicious tacos and homemade horchata all to raise money for the Whole Planet Foundation! The Whole Planet Foundation is a non-profit established by Whole Foods Market. The mission is poverty alleviation through microcredit loans in communities around the world where Whole Foods Market sources products. All sales from the Pop-Up Taco Stand will go towards providing microloans to the working poor in 61 different countries around the world. Today Alexis checks it out.
