Cinderella's Closet
Prom should be a magical tradition for any teenager, but the growing costs can make it pretty stressful for both kids and parents. While, the numbers were down this last year, the average overall bill still came in around $978 to dance the night away. A large chunk of that money is spent on the threads, especially the perfect dress.

For a long time, that same survey also found families that earn less - below $50,000 a year - were spending more to give their kids an evening to remember, which can definitely put some financial strain on a household.

A Sacramento radio station is teaming up with a local organization to help alleviate some of that stress by collecting and selling dresses at an affordable price.
