Texas Bus Driver Walking Naked Near School Says He Was Sunbathing
WEATHERFORD, Texas — A North Texas school bus driver who allegedly walked naked near a campus on a Sunday afternoon has been cited for indecent exposure and fired.
Mayford K. Davis transported students in the Weatherford Independent School District, 20 miles west of Fort Worth.
The Weatherford Democrat reports police on Oct. 26 received a report of a nude man near a middle school. Officers located the 69-year-old Davis in the parking lot.
Cmdr. Chris Crawford says Davis said he was taking advantage of a warm day to sunbathe.
Davis was fired Oct. 27 by the bus company, First Student Inc. A spokeswoman with Ohio-based First Student said Friday that Davis was no longer employed and declined further comment.
No publicly listed phone number could immediately be located Friday for Davis.
