Day on the River: Wounded Warriors

Today The Rancho Cordova Elks and the Jolly Hookers are hosting twenty local Wounded Warriors for a day of Salmon fishing and fun on the Sacramento River. This is their first year for the project but they hope it will become an annual event.

Fastest Trowel

Today is Basalite's 8th annual Fastest Trowel Event. The goal of the contest is to complete as much as possible of a 24-foot long wall of 8"x8"x16" concrete masonry units during a 20-minute round with a high degree of quality workmanship using standard masonry practices and hand tools.

Lambtown Festival

This weekend people have the opportunity to see some colored lambs!  The 28th Annual Lambtown Festival is sweeping Dixon by storm which includes a cook-off, cooking demonstrations, a Fiber Fair with spinning/weaving competitions and demonstrations, sheep dog trials, and of course dying lambs!
