Body Found Lying In Antelope Field

ANTELOPE (CBS13) – Sheriff's homicide investigators are at an Antelope field investigating the discovery of a body.

Someone was walking through a field with tall grass near 28th Street and Elverta Road on Tuesday morning when they found a badly decomposed body lying on the ground, according a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

Several sheriff's vehicles — both marked and unmarked — are at the scene, which is marked off with crime scene tape.

Investigators have not released any information about the body.
