MODESTO (CBS13) – A Modesto man shot and killed a burglary suspect who was trying to break into his home, say police.

At around 5 p.m. on Tuesday the armed homeowner discovered the 21-year-old suspect trying to break into his McClure Road home through the back window.

Investigators think the home was targeted because it had marijuana growing inside.

It’s unknown if the homeowner will face any criminal charges.
