Ian Somerhalder Fights… Bullies
Just when you thought you were safe from the smoldering hotness of Ian Somerhalder, this story finds its way onto the Internet.
Somerhalder is known for his philanthropic work. He is currently building an eco-friendly, animal sanctuary in Louisiana. He loves animals and he's green… I know ladies, try to take a deep breath and keep reading. Now, he has decided to use his work with animals to help people.
Somerhalder is working to establish a program in which bullies can care for the animals in his animal sanctuary. He feels that bullies can work their behavioral problems out by caring for another being. In an interview with E!, Somerhalder said, "If you can empower someone who's really young, who's had a really tough go at it, to find compassion by using animals—because it's so much easier than with people—then you have something."
He believes that their time in the animal sanctuary will give these children the opportunity to change their way of life. He goes on to tell E!, "Now you've started to engage these kids and they'll learn not to fight. They really realize what a full life you can have if you just get rid of those demons that we all have."
My heart is melting! Yes ladies, he really is everything you want in a man. And no gentlemen, there is no bouquet of flowers pretty enough or box of chocolates big enough to get you on the same level as Mr. Somerhalder.
