Amy is an anchor/reporter
Known as “Extreme Amy”, this pint-sized journalist brings her personality and professionalism to Good Day Sacramento as a weekend anchor. She also reports during the weekdays.
Originally from an island in Washington State, Amy moved to California to begin her news career as a reporter and anchor on cable television in San Francisco. She received her B.A. in broadcast journalism at San Francisco State University. Her next move took her to the cowboy state where she worked as an anchor/weather anchor and reporter for KCWY in Wyoming. There, Amy was recognized by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters as KCWY’s “Best Female News Anchor.” From there, Amy headed to KBAK in Bakersfield where she woke everyone up as their morning anchor/reporter. Then it was off to the entertainment capital of the world, KVVU in Las Vegas, where she interviewed celebrities and covered feature stories as the most “extreme” entertainment reporter. Her kooky reputation developed for her out of the ordinary style of reporting. She was the first Las Vegas reporter to ever jump off the Stratosphere. She also rappelled off the Rio and jumped into freezing water to raise awareness for the Special Olympics.
Amy is fearless when it comes to facing challenges LIVE on air! She has done everything from eating the worlds largest ravioli to interviewing celebrities on the red carpet to pulling 7G’s while flying high in the sky.
This Italian stallion(ette) is happy to be back in Northern California and to be close to friends and family. In her free time you can catch her doing the robot, adding to her shoe collection, and of course, practicing her killer secret Italian recipes in the kitchen!
